Thanksgiving Parade - Mount Clemens - 2006
The
Red Hat Hotties were invited by the
Mayor to participate in the Mount
Clemens’ Thanksgiving Parade on Friday,
November 24, 2006. In order to put their
best face forward, the Red Hat ladies
gathered at 7 AM outside their
Headquarters at Park Place Towers to
decorate their cars. They were greeted
by a foggy and cold morning, but this
didn’t deter our ladies.
They decorated their 3 cars with red and purple streamers and spelled out RED HAT HOTTIES on the doors. As the morning fog started to burn off, Queen Mum Pat led her group, into the parade, with a giant stuffed Snoopy perched on the roof of her car. Snoopy was decked out in the finest Red Hat regalia. Snoopy was a huge hit with the children along the parade route.
The Red Hat Hotties were placed right behind a brigade of bag pipers. At one point in the parade, Queen Mum Pat came very close to them because she was busy waving to her devoted subjects. Fortunately, she stopped in time.
